I was looking for one size to repair M6-1.25 threads. I do quite a bit of DIY mechanical work and have needed helicopter in the past so I decided to get this kit.

Cases are sturdy and well designed. I like the SAE and metric are in separate cases. Drill bit easy cut through the aluminum head, tap was smooth and made great threads that the heli-coil threaded right into. The origional bolt twisted right in and was able to be torqued no problem .

I would easy recommend this brand and this kit if you have need for a whole set.

Love these, pulled the threads on my valve cover over the spark plug tube seals (motor has 210,000 miles on it, nothing was over torqued during MY ownership) and this was the perfect fix. Drill bit cuts well and is still sharp after several uses, tap works and doesn't catch or seize;

The only gripes I have are the installation tools- the forked one that's meant to hold onto the coil bent on the first install and I had to unbend it to use it again, and the punch either doesn't sit right to remove the tail from the coil, or the coil itself is too damn tough. Had to reach in there with a tiny pair of hemostat pliers and snap the sucker off myself with about 2/3 of them.

EDIT- their customer service is wonderful to the point where I don't so much care that the one tool didn't work quite as well as I expected. They made it right, and that's honestly all I wanted.

350z valve cover save

Had a few valve cover bolts on my son’s 350z decide they didn’t want to tighten anymore after replacing a leaking gasket. This kit worked perfect and was easy to use. I did hit harbor freight to get a wrench that sat higher than the basic one in my tap kit to help get into some areas. This kit doesn’t come with a wrench so plan on getting one if you don’t have a tap and die set - also need a drill and some tap oil. Very easy process though and this was my first experience with heli coils.

Not the absolute best quality but I've certainly had worse in the past. One helicoil. Kit at the store is 32 dollars, I remember when they used to be less than half, around 13 or 14 dollars. But with the price of the single size kits these days, I decided to get this kit as it has all.the metric and SAE sizes in one and it worked great, for the price of 2 single size kits at the store! Just take your time and lube the hole as you tap the new threads to make these tools last. Bonus is you get more helicoil inserts than any store kit will include!
