they both love it!
the dehydtrated food is broken down into a much smaller consistency than first imagined, but that's a good thing in my case, as i have two small dogs, one significantly smaller than the other. this seems like a perfect medium to satisfy them both. the moment i opened the bag, the young pup was immediately at my feet. i hadn't even registered a smell from the bag before i realized he was sitting on my feet with an intense gaze of wonder, clearly interested in what my hands were doing. it was a good affirmation.i tried the suggested combination of a 1:1 ratio, and while that will make proper "wet food" i did find it needs to sit and rehydrate for at least 10 or 15 minutes. so i poured a second portion and used a 2:1 ratio of dry to wet and that was much more the consistency they appreciated. at least, immediately. once the first portion had fully rehydrated, i think they both warmed up to the texture, but i know they both preferred a little bit of crunch mixed in with the soft. all the ingredients are of integrity, really pleased with this brand being very transparent in the quality of their ingredients.the portion graph indicates i should use an entire cup for their size, but i started with a quarter cup and half cup, as they do still have their old kibble to supplement. i just like knowing they have a healthy alternative to their kibble, something that gives them a delicious flavor profile while still providing nutritional value. and it's a small enough package this bag can be stored away easily as is or into another airtight container that fits their food drawer with all their other things. they seemed to have a natural gut reaction too, our walk this morning was regular if not on the energized side. really pleased with this so far, and i think they are too
