How long does hair color last?

Nutrisse Ultra Color permanent hair color lasts up to 8 weeks. Your root growth may occur sooner, using box dye to touch up on your roots is also an option.

How do I choose a shade that will suit me best?

If your skin’s warm or olive in tone, try a warmer color. Cool and rose complexions work well with cooler shades. Try our Virtual Try On Tool to test shades on you. Take our 1-minute hair color quiz with Color Match to be certain.

My hair is already colored, can I still use Garnier colorants?

It is recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks before re-applying color to your hair. For already colored hair. If your roots are starting to show, you can use our box dye to re-touch your roots.

Wearing disposable gloves, apply to clean, towel dried hair. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. No need for a conditioner afterward. Use weekly for best results.

I have fine, thin, light brown to dirty blonde hair. I used the PL2 Ultra light platinum on DRY unwashed hair fully saturated with coconut oil for minimal breakage/damage (night and day difference)... prior to lightening dont wash your hair for at least 24hrs,(wash ur body tho ya filthy animal;). ) then day of saturate w/coconut oil (or argan, but only those two work w/bleaching!) on DRY head and do not rinse or wash out, apply your bleach mix over the coconut oil.) make sure to do your middle to ends first! (unless your just touching up) leave 1-2inches from root... i waited 20min for my middle and ends to process before going over my roots for the remaining 10min..( i only let process for 30min, i shouldve let my middle and ends process for about 5-10min more before applying to roots, but wanted to be safe than sorry.) I only used one box, however i shouldve used two. (had about a dime size amount left after head was fully saturated w/bleach) will be waiting a few weeks or a bit longer before rebleaching, since ive already toned, and dont want to create damage. (i used Wella's T11 toner, after washing hair out in shower w/purple shampoo (shampoo deactivates bleach) didnt condition, toweled dry and toner applied per its instructions. then rinsed toner out (no shampoo) and only conditioned (i use fanola vegan purple shampoo, and their reconstructive conditioner) sorry for the long review, works amazing when used properly.

Brings my natural jet black hair up to platinum without damage.

The PL3 version has charcoal in the base. The pros that it greatly cut down on the odor (thankfully) and it'll also help to tone the hair a bit as it's bleaching. The only con is that the bluish-grey tone can make it a bit hard to tell if it's properly covered your dark hair. So I tend to be slightly more anxious about about making sure I got even coverage as I'm bleaching. This is the only reason I didn't give it five stars, but in reality i'd give it a 4 1/2 if the site would let me.

An anti-brass conditioner is included, so I mostly wanted to leave this review in order to warn people: Be careful about how long you leave it in your hair, because any longer than 3-4 minutes does seem to leave a very slight blue-ish tinge to my hair that can last a few hours. Not in an "unprofessional at work" sort of way, but it is noticeable to me.

Overall, I would say that this version has rendered the PL2 obsolete. I'm not a narcissist at all, but I have have quite a number of stunned people remarking on the improvement since I've switched to the PL3, remarking that the results "look natural" and a number of people have also had a hard time believing that this wasn't professionally done.

Of course, I always tell them that this is my natural hair color and that I don't know what the hell they're talking about. Maybe someone will believe me one day.

I also have to say my hair has red Pigmentation. It's a good thing I am going to dye it red soon! I just have to wait a couple of weeks so I don't fry my hair too much, until then, not leaving the house!

So i did research after research after research. I was skeptical at first and on the fence due to some negitive reviews. PLEASE DONT FOCUS ON THOSE NEGITIVE REVIEWS! This product did exactly as i was wishing for. Ive always colored my hair since i was a teenager. Im in my late 30s now. I stopped a few years ago as i started having some health concerns and couldnt manage to keep my arms up for too long or my fingers not cramping after a few mintues. So i started going to a salon. Whelp after 3 visits to the salon i had to go back to doing it myself. They destroy my hair. The color comes out (mostly) the correct color but the damage and breakage my hair receives is horrifying. When i step into a salon they always compliment my hair and say how good it looks then are shocked when i say i do it myself from a box. (They almost faint) but, if yall know how to take care of your hair during the process and after ive learned from personal experience its better to do it yourself and its cheaper. Might not be as convenient but thats a compromise im willing to take. Now i didnt achieve this look with just the box alone. I did use a toner. The 2nd picture is what my hair looked like before the toner. So please please use a good toner after u use the box color. I do love the creame developer and i love this product did not burn or itch at all during the process. It says to not leave on over an hour and i was right at the hour mark. The conditioner smells great but i havent used it yet as i always deep condition after i color. If you were on the fence like me...just go for it, if you know what you are doibg u will be very happy!

To begin with, make sure to get yourself a hair mask I have the back section of my hair coloured blue. I find that when it gets tangled my hair comes out or breaks, before I can get the knots out. It does dry your hair out but it is gorgeous.

It's a great colour, but not permanent. Washes out after 2 weeks or so. At least on me. It went to a pale greenish blue. Would still use it and recommend as it's a very nice shade of dark blue. For reference, my natural colour is dark brown....but I dye my hair regularly so, haven't had dark brown hair forever lol and have highly processed hair.
